Hab:3:2.......O Lord, Revive your work in the midst of the years....

A few years ago, I wrote and recorded a song titled [ If we ever need revival"We sure do need it today ]  I grew up in the 60,s and have memories of our mother taking us kids to tent revivals and church revivals as well. The power of the Holy Spirit literally permeated the services and when you
went home, you knew you experienced his presense. It seemed so common to me when I was a youngster, that I assumed it would always be that way .I remember teaching myself to play piano" and the ministers would be scolding me saying, I was playimg rock and roll music and they forbade it. Today They call it old fashioned now", and most churches doesn"t even want it played in their services. Man is constantly changing fads and music styles, but one thing will never change. The anointing of the Holy Spirit. My prayer is that before we go completly down as a nation, that God will revive his work in the midst of the years, and our young generation may experience a real outpouring of His Spirit. If we ever need revival, we sure do need it today.
God Bless!!

King David : What Happens In A Cave ? Part 4

1 Samuel 22:1  David therefore departed thence , and escaped to the cave Adullam.....

Along the road to the process of arriving at the palace , there was another stop off needful to make David ready to be King. God would interweave into the fabric of Davids leadership qualities , the characteristics he would learn from the cave experience. It was a long way from being a palace , but needful for the things it would take to finish molding his attributes. When Davids brethren and all his Fathers house heard it they went down to him. This is beautiful . The bible says everyone that was in distress, in debt, and discontented [ unsatisfied ] gathered themselves to him. These were the ones who recognized God's calling on his life and looking for leadership. He took this motley crew and made a mighty army out of them. This is the way God works most of the time in our own lives. He takes a person with a calling and a handful of folks with problems, and touches the world with them.
With God all things are possible ! Mebbie you feel like your living in a cave just now. You know God has called you to be a part of something great and just see no way of it coming to pass. The cave is just a temporary stop for you on your way to the palace.

The Great Out Pouring : Part 3

Joel 2:28......I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh......

As I was scoping out my surroundings , I saw an old snake skin laying on the bedroom floor. How long had that been laying there I wondered ? As I went about the place a mouse had scurryied across the floor. What else was in here that I would be living with ? Shouldn't of asked because I spotted some granddaddy long leg spiders heading up the wall. The only thing that would scare me out of there would be roaches , and I didn't see any of them thank God.  If Jesus went out in the wilderness to fast and pray, surley I could put up with a few things. I began to settle down as it were and began reading the word. I would read awhile, pray awhile, and worship the Lord.  First day nothing happened. The following day I repeated the same thing. I could discern my flesh was getting agitated and wanting to rebel. I kept it up. The next day I proceeded doing the same thing. I would pace the floor worshipping God and praying. I went in the bedroom and sensed Gods presence. I discerned he wanted me to lay there on the cot. I thought he was going to give me a vision or something , but nothing came.  I started to get up about 2 hours later and it felt like someone was holding me down. I layed there and worshipped some more. Finally a couple more hours went by and I felt released to get up. I asked the Lord why he had me lay there. The answer came back. Just for obedience. The next day I was worshipping the Lord and he showed me in my spirit what the church looked like. I had never been there before as it was in another State. He showed me it would be full and many lives would be touched for his glory.

King David : "Giant" Your Coming Down part 2

1 Samuel 17:10.....and the Philistine said, I defy the armies of Israel this day: give me a man , that we may fight together.

One cannot get away from Davids story without running into the giant. The ememy of our soul is always mouthing and wanting to fight and stir trouble up . The giant had been mouthing off for 40 days. It seems to me if  he was so confident in his abilities , he would of just fought and took Israel down. This is nothing more than childs play. I remember growing up in school, the kids were always
mouthing off threats until you called them down. I am sure that the Philistines had heard many times of Israel's mighty deliverence from the red sea and could not be certain of victory. The ememy of our soul is never certain of our victory in the same way.We are always victorious in Christ when we operate in faith , so he [ our ememy] has to constantly mouth off what he's going to do. If he was so confident , he would go ahead and make his threats good. We as beleivers must build up our faith daily so as not to give the ememy occasion. The race is not always to the swift . Its not the slingshot in your hands : but who's behind it that gives the victory. Remember , that every battle you face is merely a childish threat in the eyes of your Lord. Go forth in Faith and victory as David did and watch the giant come down in your life.   To be Continued..........
