Getting God To Hear Us

1John5:14.... And this is the confidence that we have in him ,that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us. 5:15  and if we know he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desire.

When we go before God and Petition him ,
the word tells us if we know he hears us ,we know we have the desired result. There's been times I prayed and thought to myself : Well I know he heard me because I know he's God and he knows and hears all things , but that's not what the word teaches us. I believe the scripture heading means more than that. It's talking about making a connection. For example , if we fasten our cable wire to our television we will get service , because it made a connection. Have you ever been with someone riding in a car or whatever , and they were talking away to you , but you were in deep thought and didn't hear a thing they said. Or , perhaps you heard them , but still all you heard was jibberish. I believe that is what is being said in this scripture. God is hearing us [ but he didn't know what was said.] So , how do we get him to hear what was said ? The answer lies in [ if we ask anything according to his will]  Now I know we've had some famous faith teachers that said they were going to be like Abraham and have a child at 100 years of age ,  just to prove faith works. That's not going to happen. God only needed one Abraham to fulfill his will , at that time frame. We cannot play with faith as though it were a toy. No , our guarantee for our petitions to be fulfilled , is getting God to hear us and then use our faith , and whatsoever we desire shall be granted. So , to make the connection with God is to ask according to his will in a peticular thing.

God bless you on your journey !

Kings In Palaces: Preachers In Pulpits

2 Timothy 4:1 I charge thee before God.. 4:2 Preach the word;
4:5...make full proof of thy ministry.

In the last 40 years or so , we have seen a rise in the area of Superstar preacher's and evangelists "in the USA". If we look at some history,  hindsight , and honesty ,  it would be reasonable to say that more harm has been done than good , as a result of them. There are no biblical examples of preachers being superstars. We can make all the excuses for them we want , but it simply will not compute at the end of the day when measured up to God's word. The book of acts was our last biblical example of how the church was to be built and established , and bigger and better was not exemplified. Superstar churches [ such as it is ] has taken away from the true body of Christ way more than it has given. It has taken from us the fellowship of being ministered to personally and any personal touch the body has to offer. Many of the local churches sit empty as a result. Why should folks go  when they can just stay home and watch church.  That was not what the Apostles were trying to teach the body , nor should we. The order was simply  P.R.E.A.C.H  the Gospel and the Holy Spirit would do the rest ! Could you call on your superstar evangelist or pastor in a time of need and get his attention. I can answer that. N.O. For example , I was down in a southern state last week and stopped by to say hi to an ex superstar evangelist whom I watched on television for years. I love his music  "Still do"  and him also,  however when I went in the headquarter building and asked for him,  I was simply told by a secretary that he and his wife had to go to lunch and couldn't accommodate me. Now if I had told them I had a check for 50,000 dollars for their ministry , I am almost sure the red carpet would have been rolled out for me." this has happened every time I have ever made an effort to say hi to them by the way".
Ladies and Gentlemen , is that really God's way for the church ? I don't think so. The churches responsibility isn't to create superstars but rather display the acts of Christ. Isn't there a scripture in the word about taking up our cross daily and following him ? Of course there is. Kings belong in palaces: Preachers belong in Pulpits !

Telephone: Friend Or Enemy

Luke 11:8....yet because of his persistence he will rise and give him...

I was driving through a city a couple days ago and my cell kept ringing. It was them again...... Ever have your phone start ringing after you said no? It goes something like this: The other party, friend or foe is wanting something from you or some service you could render. You already said no ,but they are not G.e.t.t.i.n.g. it. Then you try the smooth tactic, try to be nice. No Go , they're still ringing. Then try ignoring it , nope still ringing. Then you are forced to give in or blast them. It is as if the ringing of the phone is wired to your central nervous system . Jesus told us in luke 11:5 that our heavenly Father , is like us when we are persistent. You will get your desired result, but make sure you want it, so theres no regrets afterward. Now go get it.
God bless you on your journey !

The Reality Of Gospel Music

Amos5:23 Take thou
away from me the noise of thy songs; For I will not hear the melody of thy viols.

I wanted to share some insight from my little bit of experience of the last 35 years in gospel music. If I was to get totally honest concerning any kind of music , if it does not glorify God it is simply noise in his ears. In the scripture heading above, it is speaking of Gods people , offering up worship songs to him and living their lives in a corrupt manner. He called it making noise. If that would be the case where would music measure up that didn't glorify his name. Music is really a very serious issue and all will answer for how they used it at the end of the day. Music has the innate ability to carry spiritual anointing whether it be good or evil.
Anyone that's been exposed to the anointing , knows exactly what I mean. It is the anointing in music that can bring healing of emotions as well as other spiritual benefits to the hearer as well as the musician and please our Lord in the process. Today such as it is, is being widely misunderstood and the younger generation as a whole, is not being showed an example of what it really should be .
How can thousands of professing Christians go to so called Christian rock concerts and even promoting their children to do so, and expect them to come back full of the Holy Spirit , much less get truly born again ? Its the fruits Ladies and Gentlemen. What kind of fruits are they bearing ? When I was young and learning to play piano, the pastors thought my music was to wild for the church, now they think its not wild enough. The ultimate question is , does our music truly draw folks to the Lord and at the same time glorify God ? I submit to you that our young generation is starving for the anointing of the Holy Spirit in their music and we musicians and song leaders need to get a fresh touch from heaven and get back to our first love [ Jesus Christ ] and let him be the head of our music that we call Gospel or Christian.
God bless you as you seek him !
